that commonly plague lakes and ponds.
The products are a blend
of
specially selected bacteria
chosen for their ability
to remove nitrogen
from the water and
to degrade organic compounds.
The program consists of
single
regular treatments
during the algae
season.
Since the products are completely harmless
no
applicator's license or permits are required.
How
does it work?
Excessive algae growth results from easily available food sources
(normally excess nutrients in the water). The specially designed
bacteria digest the nutrients before the algae can, cutting off their food
supply and controlling algae growth.
Is
it safe for fish?
Yes it is. By removing the ammonia and nitrites/nitrates from the
water the aquatic environment is enhanced.
How
is odour controlled?
The bacteria attack the cause of the odour (ammonia and decaying organic
matter) eliminating it from the water.
How
is the water clarified?
The reduction and digestion of the organic matter lowers the suspended
solids giving a cleaner more aesthetic appearance.
Will
the product reduce the amount of bottom sludge?
The bacteria will digest the organic material left at the bottom of the
pond/lake enhancing the water quality and reducing/eliminating the need
for dredging.
